Integrate with ServiceNow

Bring PointFive Savings Insights into ServiceNow as tickets, with bi-directional status and comment sync.

The PointFive integration for ServiceNow brings cloud cost efficiency work into the system of record your organization already runs on. Instead of tracking Savings Opportunities in a separate tool, your teams can create ServiceNow tickets for them, route them through existing assignment and approval workflows, and keep both platforms in sync automatically.

PointFive is published as a certified app on the ServiceNow Store. Install it directly from your ServiceNow instance:

Why ServiceNow

Cloud cost optimization is rarely owned by a single team. Remediating an Opportunity usually touches infrastructure, application owners, finance and sometimes security or compliance. In most enterprises, that cross-team work is coordinated in ServiceNow.

  • Work where your teams already are — no context switching, no separate queue to monitor.

  • Existing governance applies — approvals, CAB, SLAs and assignment rules carry over unchanged.

  • Nothing gets lost — Opportunities land in the same backlog engineers already work from.

What the integration does

Ticket creation

Create a ServiceNow ticket for a PointFive Savings Opportunity on demand. Tickets can be created in Incident, Problem, Change, or any custom table that extends Task, so the Opportunity fits into whichever process your organization uses for this kind of work.

Bi-directional sync

Once a ticket exists, the two platforms stay aligned:

  • Status changes in ServiceNow are reflected in the PointFive Activity Log.

  • Comments added in ServiceNow appear in the PointFive Activity Log.

  • Status changes in PointFive trigger a corresponding state change on the ServiceNow ticket.

  • Deleting a ticket in ServiceNow is reflected back in PointFive.

Configuration and customization

The app is configured inside ServiceNow — no code required for the standard setup:
